Enthusiastic fans.
And lots of confusion.
Some people have no idea what you're talking about. Many horse owners have never heard the word before.
Even equestrians get the wrong idea -- they say "oh, you play polo!" I heard this so often I decided to put polocrosse on the map! Heck, there's nothing wrong with polo, but polo it's NOT!
It's like polo and lacrosse on steroids. It's what you get when you mix lacrosse with polo! And it's the reason for Xtremepolocrosse.com.
By the age of 12, my son David had been riding for 6 years (since his 6th birthday). He's tried barrel racing, pony club, dressage, cross country eventing, and stadium eventing. I saw his enthusiasm skyrocket when he discovered polocrosse.
About two years ago, we were introduced to polocrosse at Glenwood Farm in Upper Marlboro, MD, and he was instantly hooked!
I met my neighbor Karen Gardiner at Glenwood, and was immediately impressed with her years of riding and polocrosse experience. I'm delighted to have Karen join in launching Xtremepolocrosse.com, a resource for equipment, coaching, and information about all things polocrosse!
